Honed: This process involves smoothening the surface of the stone, it removes the natural shine of the stone, revealing its true colour and texture.
Sandblasted: Sandblasting surface is achieved by blasting the stone’s surface with a high-pressure stream of sand. It creates a rugged and rough surface which offers better friction.
Exfoliated: It is also known as flamed finish, in this the stone is treated with intense heat that results in the stone surface to expand and contrast, it results in a deeply textured and rough surface.
Natural Split: This process involved splitting the stone naturally instead of using machinery to cut it. This lets the stone show its raw look and makes up for a beautiful finish for your project space.
Absolutely, Stone Pavers and Tiles are porous in nature and they can absorb moisture, water or any other liquid if spilled on their surface. The best recommended approach will be to dip seal the stone before you install them. Dip sealing the stone will create a protective layer on all sides and will certainly increase the longevity of the stone. Well, it doesn’t stop here. Basis on to what type of climatic conditions the stone is exposed to, you must consider surface resealing to make them stay scratch resistant and maintain its natural luster for a long time.
Yes, they can and it will be such a painful sight to have your stone Pavers and Tiles etched. Sealing the stone will help to protect them from etching but you have got to be careful with your cleaning routine too. You cannot and are not supposed to use an acidic solution to clean the stone or bleach or ammonia or anything that can destroy the stone and etch them. The best thing would be to use a lukewarm solution with neutral “PH” value detergent or dish soap to clean them.
