Also known as "Versailles" or "Ashlar Pattern," French Pattern Stone Pavers and Tiles are quite popular in Australia. Inspired by French architectural elements, six interlocking stones are arranged on the floor in this timeless design. We offer a wide selection of French pattern tiles made of marble, limestone, sandstone, and travertine. These tiles, which come in beige, grey and white colours, blend in perfectly with any architectural design or style.
Also known as the Versailles Pattern, the French Pattern is made of 6 varying pieces of stones that are arranged in a special way with a modular interlocking design. This method of arrangement is different as compared to regular grid patterns and helps create a unique, elegant look, making your project stand out.
As mentioned above, the French Pattern includes 6 different sizes of tiles or pavers. These are referred to as a set. Each set has 1 piece of 610x406 mm, 1 piece of 406x203 mm, 2 pieces of 406x406 mm and 2 pieces of 203x203 mm stones. Speaking of the thickness, French Pattern tiles are usually 12 mm thick whereas the pavers have a thickness of 30 mm or more. However, if you want custom thickness for your stones, then we can also arrange for the same.
While you can opt for DIY too, which may sound like a cost-effective option, professional installation is recommended for your French Pattern tiles and pavers. This will ensure precision and a visually appealing finish.
To add, installing these pavers and tiles on your own could seem like a challenging task, given the fact that different-sized stone tiles need to be arranged in a repeated sequence to complete the look.
At Stone Depot, we provide you top-grade French Pattern pavers and tiles made of different natural stones to create spaces that reflect your own, unique style. With us, you can select from a variety of natural stones and finishes to build your dream projects.
Our French Pattern collection includes stones such as Travertine, Limestone, Sandstone and Marble. Each stone has its individual charm and comes with unique features that are sure to make your space look fantastic.
Just as any other natural stone tile or paver in a grid pattern would need sealing and cleaning, French Pattern pavers and tiles also require sealing and routine cleaning to maintain their appearance and charm. This is because they are porous in nature. To clean the stones, just use a soft-bristled brush or a microfibre cloth to sweep their surface. It is advisable not to use vinegar, an acidic solution or any other abrasive chemical to clean your French Pattern stone tiles and pavers.
Acidic solutions and chemicals could damage the surface of the stones used and cause etching. Also, seal your French Pattern tiles and pavers during the time of installation. For the best results, we recommend dip-sealing them with a premium-quality sealant.
Pavers and tiles in French Pattern are a perfect pick for making a variety of stunning outdoor projects that will surely help you fetch a compliment or two.
You can use them for a variety of project spaces such as patios, alfrescos, pathways, swimming pools, verandahs, backyards, front yards, and courtyards among others.
